I have Adobe CS4 and I am looking to get Adobe CC, do I need to uninstall CS4 before I try installing Adobe CC. Also, I am a student and plan to get Adobe CC at the student rate, but I have two computers at my house that I need it on. Can I install it on both computers at the student rate?

Thank you,

I installed Lightroom 5 in the  original version of AAM and the first app I downloaded in the new version was PS CC but neither show up in the installed list.  All apps after PS show up as installed.  How do I correct this as I will not be able to update them as it is now?

"validating software license" loop

When I try to launch Photoshop from the Adobe Creative Cloud apps menu I get a popup that says "validating software license" that spins for about 20 seconds then disappears, only to reappear shortly after and repeat, and repeat, and repeat. Photoshop never launches. It was running fine on this Windows 7 computer up until about a week ago.

adobe-2.JPG

I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. Both Photoshop alone, and uninstalled and reinstalled in combination with Creative Cloud. I have also uninstalled, deleted the folders C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe PCD, C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\caps, C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe Creative Cloud, C:\ProgramData\Adobe\SLstore, and renamed the opm.db file, and reinstalled, only to come back to the "validating software license" loop.

My license is valid. When I sign in to adobe.com with my email address it offers to "download" Photoshop, and not "download trial".

I was trying to update my programs and was having issues. So I uninstalled the creative cloud app and now I can't get it to download again. It starts quick and stalls at 27%. Tried multiple times and stops at 27% everytime. No errors or messages. Just stops.

I tried a clean app and did not work. I also tried deleting all the files in the OOBE folder.

All of my programs are running fine. I just can't update or download new programs.

I don't know if its my internet connection or my computer. Im just out of options.

Running an iMac 2017 on the newest software.

Any suggest or help I would appreciate it...thanks.

Creative cloud installs both 32 and 64 bit Photoshop and Illustrator apps. Do I need both or can I just uninstall the 32 bit without issue?

Thanks,

Adobe, Please update Direct Download Links.

Being from Australia and waiting for the NBN to rollout to my area (fellow Aussies in suburban areas will feel my pain), I am stuck with ADSL2 broadband speeds.

I have 5 computers to update so using the Creative Cloud app to update each PC is a complete waste of time.

PLEASE UPDATE THE DIRECT DOWNLOAD LINKS ADOBE! (I know I'm shouting but I don't feel like wasting a couple of days on this)

cc 2017 will not install on win 7 professional 64 bit sp1

hi all,

I wondered if there is any body running windows professional 64 bit who has managed to install and use cc 2017?

I have been unable to install any of the applications. The error message says your windows needs updating.

I have all the latest updates for win 7 professional 64 bit. I've had microsoft support engineers doing a remote logins on my machines to check they are up to date and they have no idea why the Adobe installer thinks my windows needs updating.

I have tried on both my machines and the same problem.

Somebody I work with is also running the same operating system and version and they also have the same issue. unable to install any of the 2017 apps.

Adobe say it is compatible with windows 7 service pack 1. So for in our experience 3 out of 3 machines have found it incompatible

Must Constantly Reinstall/Repair Creative Cloud

I installed Adobe Creative Cloud. At first, every time I launch it, I received a message stating that the app was damaged. I would click "Repair" to continue.

A reinstall would process, and the error would disappear - only to reappear an hour or so later.

Finally, the repairs started failing, and I received a message instructing me to reinstall Creative Cloud. After reinstalling, Apps function for a day or so, and then I start getting errors again:

"Adobe Creative Cloud, needed to resolve the problem, is missing or damaged. You can try to repair to fix the issue. If the problem persists, download and install the new copy from 'http://www.adobe.com/adobecreativecloudapp'."

So once again, I removed and reinstall.

No change - keeps getting repair prompts.

So after repairs and reinstalls - what else is there?

Windows Server 2016 - Error 195

$

Hi,
i have been trying to install Photoshop CC 2019 v20 for around 3 hours now without any luck.
I assume its because i run Windows Server 2016 as my OS.
I open the installer and after chosing the destination i get prompted with this screen:
3NaamccvrWDuKAJl3KkW1uhi.png

My hardware should be more than capable of handling that, but for reference, i list the major components:
i7 5930k,
32GB DDR4
GTX 980 Ti
Samsung 850 Evo 500GB

If i run the installer in compatibility mode for windows 7 or windows 8 i get greeted with Error 190 and the following details:

Exit Code: 190

-------------------------------------- Summary --------------------------------------

- 2 fatal error(s), 0 error(s), 0 warnings(s)

FATAL: Sanity check for installation failed. Current OS version 6.2.9200 doesn't satisfy OS requirements.

FATAL: Error occurred in install product workflow with error code 190 error message

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My system is on the newest windows update, all my drivers are installed correctly and i dont have problems with any other programs besides Adobe ones right now.
I am kinda clueless what to do now (and yes, i did try to turn my system off and back on again.).

If anyone has an idea on how to fix that problem, please let me know.

Thanks a lot.

Lightroom Classic CC Offline Updater

Why are there no (apparent) direct download links for updates to Lightroom Classic CC?

The link to download the full installer is here: Download Creative Cloud apps , but this is for version 7.0.1 (the current version is 7.2). I don't want to update through the cloud or download manager. Previous versions of Lightroom could be updated with offline installers (i.e. here's the updater for 6.14: Download Photoshop Lightroom), but despite scouring Google & the forums, I've been unable to find a proper updater for 7.x.  I'm really not able to understand why Adobe makes it so difficult...

Some people may simply prefer to (or be required to) keep their main work computer offline, and use a second PC for internet. Are these users not entitled to receive the same updates as those who desire (or are allowed to) keep theirs connected directly?

And even for typically-connected laptops, there are many situations in which an offline installer would be useful or necessary.  For instance, I often go on long photography trips where issues sometimes arise that require me to reinstall, reformat, or even replace the system.  I carry a hard drive with installers for the current version of literally every application I use...except Adobe’s.  This means that if I need to reinstall during one of these trips (or any other time I don’t have direct access to fast/unmetered internet), I'm stuck having to rollback to older versions.

Is there some reason Adobe makes it so difficult to update their software, or did I simply somehow overlook an obvious download link that didn't come up when searching Google or the forums...?

No Creative Cloud installers support Mac APFS file system

Hello! Multiple places around the forum I have seen staff members say that APFS is supported, however I get the error code 22 if I attempt to use ANY installer (No support for case sensitive volumes).

I recently had to reinstall my operating system and APFS is the default when you format now.

Adobe Creative Cloud is 100% uninstallable on EVERY APFS Mac.
