I am trying to install a trial of Photoshop CS6 on my iMac and am having trouble.
I have downloaded the trial by three different methods:
- by logging into the adobe website and downloading from there
- by logging into creative cloud and downloading from there
- by downloading the Adobe Application Manager and clicking on "try" there.
All methods have the same issue:
I download and install the application. When I click to launch the application I get a screen titled "Renew your subscription", and says I am signed in as adobe ID: xxxx@gmail.com. This address is actually the previous owner of this computer, but when I bought it he had cleaned off all the adobe software. The screen says if you would like to sign in with a different adobe ID select "license this software". If I do this and sign in with my own ID, it asks for a serial number, which of course I don't have as this is a trial.
No matter how many times I sign in or out with my own ID I can't get the application to recognize my ID instead of this ghost of the previous owner.
I have also tried (several times) using the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool, but to no avail.
Short of reformatting my machine to get rid of the ghost of the previous owner (which would be a whole day's work probably), I am at a loss.
