Something a bit peculiar is going on here. I've been using CC since before it was 'CC'. I mean before the tools took on that sobriquet.
So "Creative Cloud Installer", then called "Adobe Application Manager" installed quite a herd of tools some months ago. Far as I know they all showed up on the windows unintaller tool... (I think). Or at least I seem to recal seeing them there varioius times during that period.
Now along comes the big bump in CC desktop, now all the tools have 'CC' in there name... and I'm wanting to get rid of some of the CS6 stuff... It represents quite a lot of data and my System disc is getting kind of full.
I happened to go have a look at the Cleanup tool people have been talking about: Adobe_Creative_Cloud_Cleaner_Tool-130708,exe, I haven't installed it yet but reading the info on CC pages where the download is found. This is on the first page one or so paragraphs down:
"General Instructions
- Uninstall the desired version of Adobe Creative Cloud / Creative Suite product prior to using the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool.
- On Windows XP, uninstall the desired product via Add or Remove Programs in the Control Panel.
- On Windows Vista or Windows 7, in the Control Panel select Programs then Programs And Features, and find your desired product to uninstall.
- On Macintosh, the uninstaller is in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers.
- Restart your computer."
Clear enough that CC staff expects that stuff to be on uninstallers list. Well fine but, oops, I have a little problem .. none of them (except lightroom-4.2 ) appears on the windows uninstaller list of installed software.
And yet I can start and run them, so clearly they are here. Anyone have a clue how to handle this.
The writeup there with the cleaner makes it all sound pretty dire, and not to be entered into lightly...
