It would be nice to be able to set a download folder in Adobe Application Manager so that we can "save" the massive installation files for all the software in our creative cloud subscriptions in case we need to reinstall it.
Currently if I uninstall something to rectify a glitch, I have to get AAM to download the whole program all over again from scratch to do the reinstallation. We should be able to save these files for later "offline" use as a complete reinstall for all the applications take hours and hours and hours without adding the hours for downloading as well, and it's very impractical.
There are known issues downloading the "trial packages" and then applying a subscription license, so it would be simpler to have an option to retain what we download through AAM - as this would include the subsequent patches and all collected updates as well and would be very very convenient.
As a thought to keep things simple - you could simply have AAM make a folder on "c:\" (or some derivation) instead of the "\tmp" and download everything there.
Then once complete if the user wishes they can simply delete the folder - or leave it for future use.
very litle coding on your end and massive amounts of time saved on (h)ours...
